Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Cardholders who need to apply for re-issue of their cards can now do so up until 30th June, 2021, High Commission of India in Colombo said in a statement.
As per the existing rules, the OCI Cardholder registrations is required to be re-issued each time a new passport is obtained by Cardholders who are below the age of 20 years and once by the Cardholders who are above 50 years of age, in view of biological changes in the face. It is, however, advised that OCI cardholders may take steps to comply with the existing OCI guidelines and renew their OCI cards as required by the rules, the statement said.
